OZEL DÖNÜŞÜM KINDERGARTEN PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING AND GUIDANCE SERVICE WORKING PRINCIPLES
Psychological Counseling and Guidance Services are an integral part of education and training. For this purpose; in our kindergarten, psychological counseling and guidance studies are carried out by our institutional psychologist once a week.
In addition to social skills, monitoring both psycho-social, emotional and cognitive development plays an important role in supporting the positive development of self and personality.
In order for the child to take firm steps in her/his future life, it is very important for her/his holistic development to know him cognitively, emotionally and socially at a young age, and to follow the development of his motor skills.
Our children should be followed closely at an early age with Psychological Counseling and Guidance Services specific to Pre-School. Thus, by recognizing the areas that need to be developed as well as the strengths of the child, better development can be achieved with children through correct guidance.
Orientation studies are one of the other important steps of the guidance program. For some children starting school for the first time, this process can be very anxious and difficult. With the orientation process, students adapt to the school, get used to this new environment in a healthy and efficient way, and establish a secure bond with their friends and teachers. During the orientation process, each student is followed up individually. In this process, parent-administration cooperation is among the basic principles of our school. Because a healthy parent-administrative cooperation is an important factor that will affect the child’s school adaptation as well as the whole education life. With individual interviews with parents, parents are also guided correctly in this process.
Social skills training is very important for children to show adequate adaptation to their environment in the development process. For this reason, studies are carried out in line with the “Social Skills Education” program in school activities. Group activities, activities and games suitable for the needs are planned and implemented in the classroom. At the same time, these activities aim to strengthen the cognitive development areas of children, and focus on activities that improve attention and concentration.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Carrying out “individual recognition” activities in order to get to know our students closely and to help them get to know themselves.
Being aware of the fact that our students are unique individuals, to carry out guidance activities that support different development areas of each of them,
To give our students the ability to know themselves, to manage, to realize their wishes and needs.
To be a guide in the development of correct communication and behavior development, adapting to school and friends, problem solving, and creative and critical thinking skills,
To ensure the cooperation and harmony of parents-administration-student-teacher, to carry out guiding activities for them in the areas they need.
